Our story
One of the Baltics' oldest bathhouses.

Pirts «Pie Lietas» is a public bathhouse with a pool in Čiekurkalns, operating since 1931. Through all these years we've preserved the real bathhouse traditions: a proper steam, fresh whisks, a calm atmosphere, and guests who keep returning generation after generation.
We run two bathhouses under one roof — the public one with a pool, and a VIP sauna that we rent out fully to your private group. No advance booking is required for the public sauna: just come on working days and enjoy yourself.

For almost a century.
In 1931, a new municipal bathhouse opened at Čiekurkalna 1. līnija 1A — the Sunday clean-and-warm ritual for the working families of the neighbourhood.
The same building. The same stone-heater walls. Grandchildren of those who steamed here with their grandmothers now bring their own children. Countries and governments changed — the bathhouse remained.

How much is admission for children?
For children over 6 the ticket is 10 €. Children under 6 enter free.
Do I need to book in advance for the public bathhouse?
No. The public bathhouse needs no advance booking — just come on working days during opening hours.
What is included in the ticket?
The bathhouse visit with the pool. Towels, sheets and a venik whisk are available for an extra fee.
How do I get to the bathhouse in Čiekurkalns?
The bathhouse is at Čiekurkalna 1. līnija 1A, Riga (LV-1026). Come by public transport or car — there is free parking by the building.
Can I hire the VIP sauna for a private group?
